Goals
- SSAB’s plant in Raahe contains several mills and two blast furnaces where pig iron is produced for further processing. The area also features a coking plant, a power plant and its own port.
- The conditions at the Raahe mill are challenging and require a high level of safety expertise from the entire installation and maintenance staff.
- The SSAB Raahe plant needed a partner who can deliver trace heating projects as a turnkey delivery, from design to installation and documentation.
Solutions
- Caverion has had an electrical maintenance contract at SSAB's Raahe factory for years. In addition, the Raahe factory constantly employs Caverion's electrical installers for maintenance and installation work.
