Caverion and Trevian Asset Management have signed a cooperation agreement for technical management services in a valuable property owned by BlackRock located at Erottajankatu 2 in Helsinki.
Trevian Asset Management will be in charge of developing the property and leasing the premises on behalf of BlackRock. “We were aiming to find a technical management partner that has a solid track record of managing historical properties in Helsinki city centre and has extensive technical knowledge,” says Vesa Klemettilä, Technical Director at Trevian.
The historical property, which has a long heritage, will be renovated into 6,200 m2of modern office space and leased to new tenants. The first tenants will move to the modernised premises in spring 2021.
Caverion will be responsible for technical management services during the property development project. After the completion of the project, Caverion will continue as Trevian’s partner in property management services, working in close cooperation with the property’s tenants and users.
“We are happy to start cooperation with Trevian. It’s great to be involved in managing such a historically valuable, unique building from the early stages of the property development project,” says Heikki Rostila, Vice President at Caverion.
The building has significant cultural value. The Renaissance part of the building on the side of Erottaja, completed in 1891, was designed by Theodor Höijer. Previous users of the premises include Metsähallitus (a state-owned forest company) and Tullihallitus (the former National Board of Customs).
