Karoliina Joensuu appointed Head of Region Energy in Division Industry

Karoliina Joensuu (M.Sc. (Eng.) and Bachelor of Science) has been appointed Head of Region Energy starting on 1 March 2022 when the current Head of Region Vilho Salovaara retires.

Since the summer of 2021, Karoliina has worked at Caverion as Head of Sales, Energy and Design & Advisory Services business. She joined Caverion from FCG Finnish Consulting Group, where she was responsible for the renewable energy and environmental consulting business. She has previously been responsible for, among other things, Pöyry’s renewable energy business and ÅF Consult's energy consulting business in Finland.

Karoliina has a strong background in the recent evolution of the energy system towards carbon neutrality. The pace of change in the energy sector also requires service providers to have a strong ability to develop their own operations. “It’s great to be in an organization where sustainability issues are at the forefront of developing both our own and our customers’ operations,” says Joensuu.

The Region Energy employs 280 energy professionals who are responsible for the operation and maintenance of several energy production plants and bring their expertise also to the plant’s investments. Long-term partnerships are at the heart of our Energy business. We develop maintenance processes, occupational safety, and plant reliability in strong cooperation with our customers.
