Caverion will implement a pipeline project for the new heat recovery plant at the Naistenlahti 3 biopower plant in Tampere, Finland. The project will commence in February, and it will be handed over to energy company Tampereen Energia in October. The contract value is more than EUR 3 million.
The delivery includes the pipelines, equipment installations, pipe bridge and other steel structure installations of the heat recovery plant.
“The pipeline project for the additional heat recovery plant is demanding and requires a high level of professionalism. Caverion convinced us with their decades of experience of demanding industrial pipeline projects and good references from similar large cases, focusing on demanding and cost-efficient installation and welding work,” says Samuli Kivikangas, Project Engineer at Tampereen Energia Oy.
“We have been involved in many Tampereen Energia Oy projects, and the pipeline project now commencing is a nice continuation of the low-pressure pipeline contract for the Naistenlahti 3 power plant. Our professional team supports the customer in reaching their sustainability goals and reducing carbon dioxide emissions,” says Elina Engman, Head of Caverion Industry division.
Tampereen Energia is building a new heat recovery plant at the northern end of the Naistenlahti 3 power plant plot. The future plant building will further cool down the flue gases of the power plant. The heat thus obtained is recovered into district heating water using heat pump technology. The investment will significantly improve the efficiency of the power plant.
